The ultrasonic atomizer composed of single piezoelectric ceramic transducer can be considered as the most common and earliest ultrasonic atomization method, which is also commonly known as ultrasonic atomizer. With the advantage of very small atomized particles, single piezo type ultrasonic atomization is widely used in the field of humidification, medical nebulizer, ultrasonic atomization disinfection and advanced material manufacturing for the preparation of ultra-fine powders by spray pyrolysis.

Advantages of Ultrasonic Atomizer Based on Piezoelectric Transducer

  • The ultrasonic atomizers have simple structure and low cost.

  • Only piezoelectric ceramic disc is used as the atomization transducer, and the ultrasonic frequency is high, generally 1-3MHz.

  • The atomized particles are small, and the droplet size is generally between 3-5 microns.

FAQ of Ultrasonic Atomizers

How does piezo based ultrasonic atomizer work?

The piezoelectric ceramic transducer (atomizer) vibrates and emits ultrasonic energy in the liquid. When the ultrasonic energy is transmitted to the interface between liquid and air, due to the great difference of acoustic impedance of different media, the ultrasonic energy will quickly gather at the interface and tear the liquid into tiny droplets to form atomization.

What are the advantages of Siansonic ultrasonic atomizer technology?

Siansonic invented the ultrasonic atomizing transducer based on nickel electrode piezoelectric ceramics in the 1990s, which is far more anticorrosive and durable than the traditional silver electrode. In addition, Siansonic ultrasonic nebulizer manufacturer provide high corrosion resistance model with polymer coating for corrosive liquid atomization.

What's the smallest droplet that Siansonic ultrasonic atomizer can generate?

By increasing the resonant frequency of piezoelectric ceramics and special structural design, the atomized droplets size can be further reduced. Siansonic has successfully create the aerosol by ultrasonic atomization in sub-micron scale, and the mean droplet size can be only 0.5 microns.

FAQ of Ultrasonic Atomizers

How Do Ultrasonic Atomizers Work?

Ultrasonic atomizers, also known as ultrasonic atomisers, use high-frequency sound waves to break up liquid into tiny droplets, a process called ultrasonic atomization. The atomizer contains a piezoelectric transducer that vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies, creating pressure waves in the liquid. These waves generate high-speed microjets that break up the liquid into tiny droplets that are then dispersed into the air. The size of the droplets can be controlled by adjusting the frequency of the ultrasonic waves. Ultrasonic atomizers are commonly used in a variety of applications, including humidifiers, medical nebulizers, and spray coating systems. They offer advantages such as high efficiency, low energy consumption, and the ability to produce uniform droplet sizes.

What Is The Frequency Of Ultrasonic Atomizer?

The frequency of ultrasonic atomizers, also known as ultrasonic atomisers, typically ranges from 1 to 5 MHz. This high-frequency sound wave generation is used to break up liquid into tiny droplets in a process called ultrasonic atomization.
