Depositing Uniform Coatings on Advanced Textiles by Ultrasonic Spray

Siansonic ultrasonic coating systems and ultrasonic spray nozzles are widely used for depositing advanced high-performance coatings such as water and oil repellent coatings, antimicrobial, and anti-stain finishes onto textiles during manufacturing. Nanosuspensions or solutions are atomized by ultrasonic nozzles and uniformly deposited onto wide webs of fabric for medical textiles, flooring, carpeting, automotive or other industrial textiles. Ultrasonic spray coating replaces inefficient dip or padding methods. Siansonic ultrasonic sprayer systems are able to fully integrate into existing production lines.

Advantages of Siansonic ultrasonic textile coating system

  • Ability to integrate into existing production lines.

  • Precise, repeatable, controllable coatings.

  • Highly uniform and small atomized droplets deposit uniform thin film coatings.

  • Non-clogging ultrasonic nozzles reduce maintenance cost and downtime

  • Significant savings in raw materials, water and energy usage.

  • Soft spray with very little splash and overspray

  • Dramatic reduction of material release into the air provides environmental benefits.

Depending on the application requirements, ultrasonic coating systems are equipped with different types of nozzle and numbers of nozzle. Siansonic ultrasonic spray array with multi-nozzles can theoretically coat the substrate with any width. For example, an array of 30 Widemist ultrasonic spray nozzles can coat a textile up to 3-4 meters in width.

Siansonic ultrasonic spray nozzles have replaced air spray nozzles in plenty of industrial and R&D applications. Many manufacturers who try to obtain sustainable, environmentally responsible for production have adopted ultrasonic spray coating as a novel manufacturing technique which is more precise, more controllable, and more environmentally friendly than other methods
